November

Everyone talks about first kisses
Like they're the only ones
Worth to be remembered.
What about the last one?

They are pretty much the same.
Both scare you,
Intimidate you,
As if you were jumping into the void
With no rescue.
A step that always means moving forward
To a different reality
A different result.

What if
The last one feels just like the first?
Or you just
Never want to give it away?

What if
After that last kiss
You can't fulfill your thirst?
And you just want one more
Even if you know
You'll never own it?

And all those other kisses
In between
Just seem to disappear
In a cloud of oblivion
Like they never existed.

And tasting the last one
Reminds you of the very first.
And everything seems to come together
In those few seconds
When you feel higher,
When losing yourself
Doesn't mean you're lost.

But then it's over.
And you just wish
It could all start over again
So it could never end.

'Cause your lips already miss him
'Cause the heart doesn't know
How to say goodbye.
